The company’s productions include all of Phish’s multi-day, multi-arts concert/camping festivals (the Clifford Ball, the Great Went, Lemonwheel, Camp Oswego, It and most recently, COVENTRY), all of which were among the largest and most successful events in North America in each of their respective years. Other events include”Twilight Concerts at the Tabernacle”; the James Taylor-Carly Simon reunion concert on Martha’s Vineyard; Sugarbush SummerStage; the ”Great Northeast Arts & Energy Festival” series and the Snoe.down Winter Music Festivals in 2006 & 2007.
In 1999 Great Northeast Productions produced what is generally acknowledged as the largest paid event in the world in celebration of the millennium, as eighty thousand Phish fans converged at the Big Cypress Seminole Indian Reservation in the heart of the Florida Everglades for a four day music and arts festival.
The Boston-based company founded in 1984 regularly presents a diverse range of live entertainment throughout the northeast, identifies and develops alternative concert venues, provides promotional and artist development services for emerging talent and represents creative performers with personal management services.
In addition, Great Northeast Productions provides talent booking services for private and corporate clients and staffing & consulting services for large public assemblies. The company provides event catering and concessions management support through its subsidiary, GNP Field Services.
